ICEHOUSE: With lva Davies in front, live at Logan Campbell Sunday night.

New direction for Icehouse

Popular Australian band Icehouse end their 12-date tour of New Zealand this Sunday at the Logan Campbell Centre.

The tour coincides with the release of their latest album Code Blue, which reached platinum in Australia.

The album, like the band itself, is pure Aust- ralian, reflecting on the unrecognised heroes who helped shape that country.

Iva Davies, singer, songwriter, and one of the most recognised figures in Australian music, brings with his band a new style, direction, as well

as hairstyle (Michael Hutchens, eat your heart out).

Yet whatever physical changes that might take place, Icehouse remain one of Australasia's best live performers.

They last performed in New Zealand to sell-out crowds in January 1988.

With 10 years experience and 60 songs behind them, there is certainly no shortage of material to keep Aucklanders entertained.

Ticket prices are $25 and can be obtained at BASS outlets or SOUND Record Stores.
